  • Olive Oil –Olive oil is the base for this recipe and helps to balance out the tanginess of the white wine vinegar and minced garlic. Use regular or flavored olive oil, your preference.
  • White Wine Vinegar – White wine vinegar adds a little tang to your vinaigrette without overpowering it, as some other kinds of vinegar can. However, you can use other types of vinegar if you don’t have white wine vinegar on hand, such as red wine, apple cider, or champagne vinegar.
  • Minced Garlic –Minced garlic adds a subtle garlic flavor to your vinaigrette, making the dressing more savory! You can use fresh garlic cloves or purchase a jar of pre-minced garlic at the grocery store!
  • Herbs – Dill, parsley, and/or chives add great flavor, but you cancustomize with your favorite herbs as noted in the recipe card! Fresh herbs are more flavorful, but you can use dried herbs!
  • Salt and Pepper – Salt and pepper to taste.

  • Add a little fresh squeezed lemon juice.
  • Add a tablespoon of white granulated sugar to sweeten this dressing a little.
  • To add a creamy touch, just add a little plain Greek yogurt or sour cream. Now you’ve got a creamy herb vinaigrette!

  • Room temperature– While some vinaigrette salad dressings can be stored at room temperature, this one is not shelf stable due to the fresh herbs. Don’t leave it out at room temperature for more than two hours.
  • Refrigerate – Store in an airtight container a sealed container, a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid, or a salad dressing shaker in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
