What happens on the day of your surgery?
You have come in having organized a lift to take you home.
You will be meeting with your surgeon to review your pre-op tests, discuss the procedure, and answer any last-minute questions you may have.

You will receive mildsedationto make it a more pleasant experience.
Tumescentliposuctiondoes not requiregeneral anesthesia, which allows you to talk to your surgeon during the whole procedure.
The surgeon will start withsmall incisions. He injects a combination of lidocaine, sodium bicarbonate, and epinephrine mixed in a Saline solution to numb the areas of your procedure.

What is the recovery time after the procedure?
Most patients experience some discomfort after thefat removalprocedure for 2-5 days. The pain usually decreases after the second or third day. We recommend that you rest for 1-2 days after the procedure. You will be wearing acompression garmentthat will help with the discomfort. Most patients can return to work in 3-4 days. You will have some drainage for the first 24-48 hours after the procedure, which is normal. The tiny incisions will heal and disappear in a few days.
What kind of results can I expect from the procedure?
